DESCRIPTION OF THE GOOD PRACTICE:

This research has the following objectives: identifying the perception of aggression in school, identifying the degree of manifestation of the types of aggression in the school space, record the weight of various reasons in triggering aggressive behavior, identifying the various factors that contribute to securing the pupils in the school area and identifying the degree of perceived safety in schools attended.

RESULTS:

Following tabulation of the sample data set the result found was that the perception of students, parents and teachers about the phenomenon of school aggression is similar: more than half of respondents felt that the number of cases of aggressions remained constant or decreased this year compared to the previous one.
Although parents and teachers consider that children's aggression is a cause of existent family dysfunctions, the degree of assignment is significantly different.
Parents identify family dysfunctions as the main cause of children's aggressive behavior in 56,8% of the cases. Teachers find that the same dysfunction generates aggressive behavior in 96% of the cases.
Dysfunctions occurring at the school level generate aggressive behavior in 24,1% of the cases according to teachers and in 37,3% of the cases according to parents.

EVALUATION:

This research was conducted in the schools in Bucharest. We find included here a very thorough research of the phenomenon of school aggression. This research has both a qualitative section and a quantitative one. Both sections are a very valuable source of information. The results of this research may help to better define the phenomenon in Romania and at the same time may contribute to discovering possible ways of treating this problem. pages
