The first question deals with the definition of bullying, according to the own experience. Then there are questions about the description of the event (context, locations, actors, narrated/experienced), of the features of the bully, of the victims and of the bystanders (age, gender, appearance, family, school profit, attitudes towards teachers and peers, reaction observed, …).
Afterwards there are questions about the type of actions undertaken with a reflection on the results.
a) punitive disciplinary action/listening/empowerment?
b) action taken individually or as a team? Did it get results?
c) following the action, how did the behaviour of the bully change?
d) following the action, how did the behaviour of the victim change?
e) following the action, how did the behavior of bystanders change?
The following questions are about the following:
-. what leads a bully to behave like this? What drives the victim not to rebel? Can bullying be considered a normal element of school life?
-. which repair strategies could have positive effects to counteract bullying? Why can / can’t it work properly?
a) Stimulate the awareness of parents
b) Stimulate the awareness of teachers
c) Create coordination groups among teachers
d) Meetings between teachers-parents of bullies
e) meetings between teachers-parents of victims
f) Meetings of parents of victims and of bullies
g) listening activities to understand reasons of bullies and victims
h) in-depth interviews with bullies and victims
i) debates in class on the topic of bullying
j) increase surveillance in the classroom and outside
k) state classroom rules against bullying
l) Punishment of bullies.
m) stimulate the awareness of bystanders
n) Give the message "the school will not tolerate bullying"
o) make bullies respect rules
p) make victims claim their rights
q) Training in the management of emotions for bullies and victims.

RESULTS:

The results cannot be considered representative of the population, but only transferred to other similar contexts where there are similar conditions and where appropriate procedures can be carried out in other similar situations. The technique used is that of constructing categories after an analysis, highlighting, organizing and bringing the experience expressed in interviews by teachers. The statements are expressed according to the teachers’ point of view, with all the limits related to an interpretation from the outside and not from the direct experience of victims, bullies and bystanders who are directly involved. The teacher's point of view is also important to detect the awareness he/she has of the problem, to suggest interpretations and to evaluate how to deal with situations, and think about the own intervention strategies.
