DESCRIPTION OF THE GOOD PRACTICE:

Childline initiated "Week WITHOUT BULLYING" taking place in March 21-27, 2011 seeks to raise public awareness about the problem of bullying and to promote respectful and friendly interaction. During this even organizers try to focus all of which might contribute to the problem of bullying - schools and other educational institutions, teachers, parents, students, politicians, academics, professionals, the media all together to find the means to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.

Organized events, discussions, open films view evenings will show untold, or for a long being in silence problems of children, for which decision must be responsible all of us. The seek is that a week without bullying will be something special for everyone, especially for those who indifferent to the problems of children and young people and contribute to foster a safe, friendly, tolerant environment.

EVALUATION:

Experience in 2010 have shown that the initiative "Week without bullying" has received much attention and acceptance from the public side, therefore initiators extended a nice tradition and hold a week without bullying in 2011.

In 2011 it is the second time when this even takes place in Lithuania. The first even "Week without bullying" was organized in 2010
