DESCRIPTION OF CONTENTS:

This research aims to replicate the previous research, published in 2000, using the same questionnaire and the same representative sample of the national population of students from the ESO, to compare the incidence and those elements that characterize bullying in Spain between 1999 and 2006. The results show that in many of the behaviors associated with this phenomenon has produced a significant decline in its incidence. These data were taken both from the view of students as from the teacher. Thus, the results also show that preventive actions and intervention carried out in recent years in our country have influenced the decrease in the incidence of some of the most common behaviors of bullying. The conclusions and suggest recommendations to maintain and strengthen all structures for prevention and intervention and to develop and implement intervention programs focused on improving living together in schools.

This study is of interest because it featured a full report, which provides the reader or reading a review of major studies of incidence European and national events to date and provide ways to combat violence in the classroom betting teaching in values of tolerance, respect for diversity and human dignity and work towards the development of the self-esteem and social skills. Mentioned the experience derived from programs
interventions implemented and the results of empirical study made that point to the need conduct a follow-up and attention to personal problems of students and staff orientation
and social development from the tutorial.
