This research attempts to deepen the study of the effects of victimization experiences, a topic that is generating more interest in the problem of bullying among schoolchildren. The effects of stress that victims suffer long term were studied and also analyzed the mediating role strategies have coping strategies used to combat bullying. The study is based on a sample of 219 students university students between 18 and 40 years who were administered a modified version of the Retrospective Bullying Questionnaire (RBQ; Schäfer et al., 2004) that includes a stress scale (Rivers, 1999). REVIEWER’S COMMENTS ON THE DOCUMENT:

This article is of special interest because of the raise of the possible relationship between strategies of coping with conflict and long-term stress experienced by victims of bullying. The results confirm the strategies considered in this study did not explain the stress effects suffered by the victims as adults. However, it was found an unexpected effect initially linked the subjects evaluation about bullying situations and stressing experiences . Those victims who perceived the conflict as a challenge and not as a threat and used strategies to cope with a problem in an active way, were evaluated among the most satisfactory. By contrast, the strategies were to answer aggressive or avoidance are considered the less effective. A proposal is made to follow moving in this direction by analyzing the influence of factors included in this study are on key issues such as self-esteem or emotional ties to the Psychosocial adjustment of victims of bullying in adult life.
