This work is an anthology and is documenting the annual convention 2000 of the “Action Youth Protection” (ajs). The AJS is a federation of 19 national associations of Baden-Württemberg, which is committed to strengthening the protection and the rights of children and adolescents. This volume contains several contributions to education on youth violence and bullying. The authors present a variety of prevention and intervention approaches in the fields of education and youth services.
At the beginning an introduction to the possible causes and risk factors is given. The next main section deals with professional pedagogic approaches in dealing with violence in schools. To occur, for example, violence prevention approaches, such as the conflict and using mediation or gender-specific approaches.
This book is suitable for a wide range of target groups and working fields that are facing the issue of violence among children and adolescents.
