DISSEMINATION REPORT
Partners:
Wilsthorpe Community School
Name of the person involved in the event:
Roger Murfin
Date of the event:
04 May 2011 - 04 May 2011
Type of Dissemination event:
National Meeting
Description of Dissemination Event:
The event was an international conference entitled 'The Writing on the Wall' supported by the British Council. The aim of this one day conference was to investigate and summarise both anti-social and positive social behaviour in and around the school environment in England and Sweden.
Target group:
Head teachers (both from the UK and Sweden), teachers, students, members of the local authority, elected councillors, representatives from Derbyshire police and Derbyshire Fire Service
Number of people reached by event:
101
Held in:
Makeney Hall Hotel, Belper, United Kingdom
Outcomes and Results:
I was able to take the opportunity to disseminate information verbally and in leaflet form, to Head Teachers (both from the UK and Sweden), teachers, local Government Officers etc. The project was well received as there is a clear link between anti-social behaviour and bullying and hopefully I have been able to recruit at least one other school to take part in the project.
