DESCRIPTION OF THE GOOD PRACTICE:

First, it is provided a brief description of the term school bullying, which refers to the main forms of expressions of this phenomenon and then a reference to possible signs which indicate that a child is likely to be a victim of school bullying. This brochure provides instructions to the child on how to behave, aiming to boost their confidence, to exculpate themselves for the aggressive behavior that takes place at the expense of them and to seek help. In addition, it provides to the parents of the child that might be bullied the necessary advice on the effective support of the child. Finally, it gives instructions and advice also to parents who realize that their child may develop aggressive or intimidated behavior toward other children.

EVALUATION:

This information about school bullying phenomenon can have positive results. At first the child who suffers school bullying can be informed about what can be done, who can speak to and indicate the problem, but also to feel psychologically safe. Parents whose child receives some form of intimidation are called to develop a warm and friendly relationship and communication with their child, to advise them, to strengthen their personality, and to inform the stakeholders for school bullying cases that have been detected or that are likely to occur in school units. But also the parents whose child is aggressive or displays violent behaviour, can obtain helpful instructions in order to confront and resolve the problem of the child. Finally, the contact with the child and the school for the detection of possible causes that lead the child to aggressive behaviour, is highly recommended. pages
