A new UK Government took office on the 11th May 2010 and some of the contents of this site may not reflect current Government policy.
Having said that it is a very extensive site covering many major anti-bullying areas, such as the law and how it affects schools and local authorities, how to create and implement an anti-bullying policy, how schools can prevent and respond to bullying, reporting and recording bullying incidents, staff professional development etc. There are also many useful references and links to anti-bullying organisations. There is also an executive summary published in September 2007.
Because bullying is among the top concerns that parents have about their children's safety and well-being, the previous Government made tackling bullying in schools a key priority. This site reflects the importance placed on the subject and is a very comprehenive site with a wide range of resources and references, some of which can be downloaded as PDFs. We particularly liked the sample anti-bullying information sheets for pupils, parents and staff and the section on organisations that can offer support, where links to more than thirty relevant organisations are given.
