DESCRIPTION OF CONTENTS:

In the present society in that we lived, a social sensitivity exists towards the school violence, considering it like one of the main problems to which the adolescents expose themselves and, for that reason, every time more strategies and programs arise to approach it. Nevertheless, in this dissertation a new scholastic form of bullying or harassment between equals is emphasized, that are emerging thanks to the possibilities that the New Technologies facilitate to the aggressors: the Cyberbullying. This document gathers the analysis of this concept of detailed form, its basic characteristics, their consequences and the different modalities that can adopt. Also, the importance is clear of detecting these cases of violence from the school reason why a general profile of the ciber-aggressors as of ciber-victims is offered, that is to say, what characteristics have more importance or more directly determine these students and what them difference of its partners, so that it is easier his detection. Like conclusion, a pedagogical action is believed necessary that it causes the interaction with the ICT's from really educative, constructive, relational and ethical a plane. Finally, some methodological proposals are exposed as the awareness of young on a use responsible and respectful the ICT´s or an suitable location of the computer in the home for a greater security, among others.

REVIEWER’S COMMENTS ON THE DOCUMENT:

With the advance of the New Technologies, the phenomenon of bullying also has been advancing towards other new forms of school violence. In order to be able to design effective plans of action, it is necessary to know in what cyberbullying and all regarding this phenomenon consists, reason by which has been selected this document. Nevertheless, we must be conscious that bullying and cyberbullying they are not as similar as we thought. Both have common that occur an abuse between equals but ciberbullying takes care of other causes, manifest of very diverse forms and their strategies of intervention also are different. In addition, the psychological consequences that this new form of harassment between equals entails are worse than the caused ones by bullying, being able to get to be devastating (as the case of the suicide). To the being a recent problem, not yet exists too many preventive measures or of intervention that the cases of ciberbullying approach, although the first protocol of school action has been created before cyberbullying in Spain. Therefore, I think that we are before a problem more powerful than bullying traditional, reason why is precise to investigate deeply in him to design prevention and intervention strategies, to palliate the negative effects and to reduce the appearance of new cases of cyberbullying, respectively.
