The article discusses the changing self attitude towards bullying. It is argued that public perceptions of aggressive behavior, including bullying, leads the way how we choose to reduce aggressiveness. Both children and adults often do not draw a clear distinction between socially acceptable and socially reprehensible forms of aggression. Therefore, effective violence prevention requires precise values. Only in a clear understanding that bullying is not normal, you can start to implement measures that can help reduce the spread of bullying.
These documents have been chose because it is recommendations for schools working in the field of violence prevention.
The article stated a point of view that bullying and physical violence is a problem that needs to be addressed immediately.
Introduction of the program is part of a psychological support for both sides of the conflict – the victim and the defendant – and the document states that there is no need to name the guilty one, it is enough to talk about the essence of the conflict. I would not go along with that. Maybe to punishment for the guilty one is not required, but proofs of his bad behavior, I think is necessary.
The observers of the incident should participate in this conversation. Now, (especially parents) feel that if their child just watched the incident happen, he had nothing to do with it and underestimate the injury of the violence seen on their child’s later behavior.
