DESCRIPTION OF CONTENTS:

"The bullying phenomenon: how to recognize and to prevent it". This is the title of the publication issued by the municipal administration in Reggio Calabria in the national civil service.
The book, edited by Giovanni Giacobbe, psychologist-psychotherapist, who is responsible for the monitoring for the civil service, is the outcome of the work of volunteers, and it was presented at Palazzo San Giorgio by Giacobbe, Councillor of the civil service, by Antonino Serranò, by Elio LongoReggio Calabria, head of the national civil service in Reggio Calabria and by Carmen Stracuzza, leader of the social policy.
The book, which was distributed in 5,000 copies in all schools located in Reggio Calabria, was born from a project bearing the same name which was completed by the boys who wanted to investigate the extent of bullying in our territory by disseminating a questionnaire addressed to schools, teachers and students.
The first results were presented at first during a conference and then in the publication. As Giacobbe said, "this is not a simple tool of observation, but it is a genuine scientific research that pays attention to all the principles that underlie these researches on the territory concerning a phenomenon that in the city has not been explored properly yet".
"The bullying phenomenon: how to recognize and prevent it" consists of three parts: the theoretical part that focuses on the work of volunteers, the related analysis carried out in schools and a reference to the future projects.
Elio Longo (head of the national civil service) said that he was "very satisfied with the outcome", while the experience lived by young people who took part in the project, from which the publication was created, was carried out by the sociologist Annamaria Bruzzese.

A positive feedback emerges from the satisfaction of the people who were involved in the dissemination of project and in the power of ideas that make them fulfill their tasks.
In conclusion, the message from the Conference arrived in the pages of the book, where the value of the whole initiative and the importance of the work carried out by volunteers of the civil service is emphasized.
