The ever-increasing cases of violence in schools are a concern for all factors of education.
The key to counter this negative effect that television has on children rests on the collaboration between teachers and the pupils’ parents. The article details this perspective.
The teacher needs to find out why the family watches TV. He needs to distinguish between long-term reasons and momentary ones. After that, parents will be advised on the role of the TV in the day to day life of their child.

The importance of this material comes from the fact that it addresses only a part of the big issue that violence is, namely the role of the television. Teachers are brought to the forefront in terms of the relationship they should develop with the pupils’ family.
