DESCRIPTION OF THE GOOD PRACTICE:

The project proposes the involvement of teachers, of class coordinators, parents and experts to intervene in serious situations which involve students with antisocial behavior. The team can be a support group not only to important issues such as bullying, but also as a practical support to school in everyday troubling situations. The ultimate aim is to create young student tutors who can help younger students in troubles and above all to correct and prevent antisocial behaviors. In this way teenagers will be able to promote their own psychological, and relational sane life, developing self confidence and self awareness so to self correct wrong and antisocial behaviors

RESULTS:

The project aims to give support and help in case of serious situations of bullying, and to create a reference group for all students as well. This group will be able to give advice, and will allow young more fragile students (victims as well as tormentors) to solve difficult situations in a correct and appropriate way.

INDICATORS:

Detection protocol, Intervention protocol, Help-line/counseling, Parent training/meetings, Disciplinary methods, Classroom management, Whole-school anti-bullying policy, Cooperative group work, Peer support, Intensity teachers (10 h. or more), Intensity children (20 h or more).

EVALUATION:

Peer education and tutoring set the teenagers in the core of the educational process allowing all the people involved to express their feelings and emotional experiences. All the children are guided step by step to understand different ways of perceiving themselves or be perceived by others, activating self confidence and self awareness competence. pages
